Be proud and confident. You’ve learned a lot, you’ve come a long way and you deserve to stand tall, with your shoulders squared and your head held high. Don’t let those who have turned their self-doubt into nay-saying, conceit and bullying to push you around. Show them compassion, but confront their actions that put others down so they can feel better. Let them know it’s ok, but you’re willing to help them find their own self-worth…. if they’ll let you. just remember, you can’t learn lessons for others.
Additional Insight:
The gift of the Knight is knowing when to fight and when to show compassion. Valor and honor are the key requirements for the job. You can stand tall and feel empowered without having to draw your sword or being ready for conflict at the drop of a hate. Use your power of compassion today and you’ll win over new friends and influence many people.
When someone wants to start a fight because they’re having a bad day, don’t take the bait. Even if the person is your boss, remember they’re human and not a hierarchical robot. They can have a bad day too, but that doesn’t mean they can take it out on you.
There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Take note which side of the line you’re standing on. Confidence is strength, knowing you do not need others to validate or approve of you. Not when you’re doing the best you can and you’re trying to achieve the goals that have been set. Arrogance is fear, that begs to be acknowledged and admired. But rarely gets it and always demands it with stubborn intolerance.
You do not need to confront fear, but rather show it compassion. Share what you’ve learned about empowerment and self worth. Have the courage to stand up against the bullies who only want to be liked and recognized. They too have endured, struggled and fought their own battles. Let them know they’re not the only ones who have made mistakes, bad choices, or been the victim of unjust actions of others. If they know they’re not alone, maybe they’ll realize they can overcome as you have.
The day all comes down to how you walk your talk. Are you true to yourself today? Have you let go of the fear and anxiety that caused you to lash out in the past. Have you overcome your struggles and persevered in spite of everything?
You can’t change the past, but you can change the way
you allow the past to affect your present and your future.
