Share the bounty. Let someone know that you think enough about them to contribute to their well-being. You may not know everything going on or the healing taking place and needed in their lives. But the simple act of kindness, support and a small slice of your pie will go a long way to brightening up their day! Give them a chance to feel appreciated, loved and part of your family. You could change someone’s life today.
So many people feel alone and forgotten during this time of the year. Even a small gesture of support can go a long way to changing that emotion and giving a little uplifting energy through kindness.
A supportive touch on the shoulder, a small gift like a box of holiday treats or even an inexpensive gift card can turn things around. Take a friend out to tea or lunch. Invite someone along to look at the seasonal lights in the area. Maybe even share a holiday movie and popcorn would be your thing.
Remember this isn’t the season of getting. It’s the season of giving and that doesn’t always have to be material or monetary things. Emotions of support and share adventure can be even more valued. Sharing your time and attention with someone will create long lasting memories. Take an adventure and create moments of joy and happiness that you’ll be talking about way into the coming new year.
Showing someone you care about their well-being doesn’t have to be an expensive event. Nor does it have to be a huge effort on your part either. But the little things you do for those you care about can go along way to making them feel a measure of hope in their lives.
