This week on The Ænigma Project:

The Tesla Radio

The Tesla Radio

December 15th – Tesla Spirit Radio
Nikola Tesla (1856–1943) was a Serbian-American engineer and inventor whose greatest accomplishments were paving the way for practical widespread distribution of electricity by way of the development of alternating current, known today as the Tesla coil.
.
The Tesla Spirit Radio is a crystal radio circuit in a jam-jar. It makes very strange, what some might call ‘spooky’ sounds by responding to input from several types of electromagnetic sources.
.
Today home engineers are building this radio and connecting it to computers and other modern electronics to generate strange and spooky sounds. But in Tesla’s day Spiritualists proclaimed this contraption could pick up on ghostly electromagnetic energy and broadcast sounds from the other side.
.
Does Tesla’s invention transmit messages from the ghostly realm? It’s function scared Tesla himself. Did he know something in the 1800s that we don’t know today? Tune in on Monday night as we share our thoughts, experiences and information about the strange Tesla Spirit Radio!
