The compassion you show others will help your own inner healing. Remember what you express to those around you, you will receive in return. Let go of the negative feelings of hardship and turmoil. Allow the caring you have for the world, a chance to come back to you in your time of need. Be open to the gifts and they will find their way to you.
Seeing the world around you in dark despair is like putting on blinders and only seeing the road before you. The problem with this approach is that darkness hides the avenues of opportunity to help someone else along the way who maybe have it much worse than you do.
Those missed chances to show compassion take away from your own opportunity to receive. If you walk on your dark path and ignore the world around you; then the world around you will ignore you and your own plight. That doesn’t mean you need to post a sob story on your social media page and express the negative energy. That will only attract more of the same.
Instead, open your eyes and hold out a hand for the person who has fallen on their knees. Help them stand one more time and show them that someone in the world does care what happens to them. You may not be able to solve their problem, don’t give them your shirt when it’s the last one you have. But even a little caring, a hug, a simple “It’s going to be ok” can go an awfully long way to helping someone else make it through one more day. Wouldn’t it be nice if someone did or said that to you?
