How We See, Creates What We See

Last evening I received a comment on the Once In A Blue Moon post here on my blog.

Comment:
You have a nice picture of a wooden chalice BUT it has a picture of a trap[ped] demon on the outside of the chalice. If you don’t believe me then look at the chalice close up!

It’s been a year since that post was published and this is the first time someone has mentioned anything like this. I’d like to share some insight about this perspective and how we see the world through the lenses we create with the energy we establish around us.

Nina Kulagina was born in 1926, joined the Red Army at 14 and entered its tank regiment during World War II. During the last 20 years of her life, Academic research was performed on her proclaimed psychic abilities, and in particular her abilities at psychokinesis.  Also referred to as telekinesis, psychokinesis is the ability to distort,, move or intentionally control a physical object with psychic energy alone. Was Kulagina the first person proven to possess this ability?

Expectations

When You Have A Good Heart

A long time ago, someone much wiser than I said:

When you have a good heart:
You help too much. You trust too much. You give too much. You love too much. And it always seems … you hurt the most.

I can relate to this old adage. I think any Mother can without question. But I also know we are responsible for our own feelings. So the question isn’t why do we get hurt, but rather why do we allow ourselves to feel hurt?

That’s an easy one to answer, but it’s not an easy answer to live with. Because it’s our own expectations that cause us to feel hurt. Continue reading →

07/22 Our Topic: The Oakville Blobs
What was the clear, jelly-like substance that rained down on Oakville, Washington. On August 7, 1994 during a rainstorm, a mysterious translucent gelatinous “blob” like substance fell in and around Oakville. Many towns people fell sick with flu like symptoms and some domestic pets fell ill and died. A local doctor had the substance tested and reported that it contained human cells but strangely they did not have any nuclei, which nearly all human cells have.

For clarification, this goo has a name. It’s called Star Jelly and it has appeared through out history. Reports show events similar to Oakville have occurred as early as the 1400s. And as recent as February 2013. In 1950, four Philadelphia, Pennsylvania policemen reported the discovery of “a domed disk of quivering jelly, 6 feet in diameter, one foot thick at the center and an inch or two near the edge.” When they tried to pick it up, it dissolved into an “odorless, sticky scum.”  This incident inspired the movie The Blob.
