Expand your horizons and view the world from a larger perspective. Too much of your understanding is based on only what’s around you. Living inside the bubble warps your view as if you’re in a fog. It’s not until you rise above and clear the air that you’re going to be able to see both sides of the situation and discover what’s really going on. You don’t have to agree with both sides. But at least be open to the alternative views, because they will provide insight, understanding and an opportunity to question. The more you know, the more you’ll understand the world around you.

It’s a product of our nature to live within our community, family, or whatever that tight knit group is that you feel comfortable in. Humans are like any herding animal, we move with our pack and rarely venture outside to discover new perspectives.
But staying inside our own bubble, limits our understanding of neighboring clans, or communities that we share space with. We may not agree with their views, or understand where they’re coming from, or know enough about them out side of rumor or innuendo.
Building peace in your family or your community takes a little effort and patience to learn about the other side. You don’t have to agree, you’re not going to be converted nor should you allow your fear to segregate you from knowledge and understanding. Continue reading
