Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: King of Swords – Inverted

King of Swords - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Go with the flow and be ready to catch what comes your way. Being strong and capable doesn’t mean you must be ready for a fight. Good leadership knows what battles are worth fighting and which ones should be ignored. Don’t let others control your thoughts or actions and the weekend is yours for the taking.

Additional Insight:

Swords can bring strength and courage to any situation. But it’s a double edge sword that requires wisdom to hold the hilt steady. It’s a fine line to balance the energy that wants to fight or finds a better way through peace. If you plan on a fight, you will pull that energy toward you and create self-fulfilling prophecies. So be cautious today and through the weekend concerning your thoughts and reactions.

Instead, be Mindful, calm and at peace. Avoid situations you know will lead to battles right now. There’s nothing wrong with taking a break and re-grouping your thoughts and energies. Rest, relax and take in the scenery to gain a refreshed perspective. Or simply get a way from it all for a brief respite. You could use the distraction to uplift your spirit.

Taking time for yourself is equally important as giving time to your kingdom. But without your clear thoughts and a clear head, you can easily be tricked into a battle that begins a war you don’t want to wage. Work on something new and put your time to good use. Don’t focus on the same ole thing and keep the images of stress and anxiety in the forefront of your mind. Turn things upside down and walk away for a few hours or even a full day.

You cannot change the past.
You can only change the way you allow the past
to affect your present and your future.

By Sunday you should set some time aside for meditation to replenish your soul, clear out the old entirely and renew your shields of protection. Don’t turn your introspection toward the past and what could have or should have been. What was said, what could have been done are all lost to time now. And none of that will help you move forward, but rather will keep you anchored in the past. Remember what’s important to you and why it’s worth the effort to release the words spoken in anger and move on. Remember the value of those you care about and who are closest to you; that is a much better use of your time.

Keep your mind on aligning your energies with the Full Moon and the coming equinox. It’s a great time to renew, rejuvenate and prepare for the future. Release the old, let go of the angst and move on to a better path with less potholes and struggles.  Take the road that brings your partnership back into focus and working together on the common good for all. Be the King of your journey that allows wisdom to govern the sword. And you’ll be able to hold it up with success and in triumph.
