Be cautious about the choices you make for nourishment. Whither it be food or food for thought, you need to make healthy choices today. You instinctively know what you need, so listen to that inner voice and avoid the things (or people) who are bad for you. Tomorrow, you’ll be glad you did.
Additional Insight:
We nourish our body and spirit in many ways. Through food yes, but also through the company we keep. You know what and who isn’t good for you. Stop giving in to the ‘easy’ choices and take a stand for your future and govern your own domain.
It might be easy to drop by the fast food joint, but you won’t get value for your dollar in their version of a healthy choice. And that friend that wants you to skip class, or a meeting doesn’t have your best interest to heart. They’re in self destruct mode and you need no part of that right now.
The choices you make today will set up the consequences of tomorrow; and perhaps the events for the rest of your life. So if you don’t want to be a teen parent, an unemployed statistic or patient in the ER; then you need to step back and take a moment to think about the invitations you receive today.
You are the one who will make a difference in your life. It’s your responsibility to feed and nourish your body and spirit for the betterment of your mission. If you need a break, take a walk. Walk around a building, or walk ALL the halls inside the building. Walk to the deli at the grocery store for a healthy salad. You know the options you have to make it work out in your favor today. Make them work “for” you, not against you.
