Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Emperor – Inverted

The Emperor - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

You’re doing a great job holding yourself up and holding on. The effort is making you stronger. So why are you so down on yourself and doubting your efforts today? Spread your wings and soar on the wind of change that’s filling the sky around you. Look over your domain and take in the view of where you used to be and how far you’ve come. It may just re-energize your day.

Additional Insight:

Stop listening to the nay-sayers, the critics, the people who don’t even know you. None of them are walking in your shoes or know what you’ve been through. They can only feel better about who they are, by putting others down and trying to stand upon a pedestal they didn’t earn.

If you’re not with people who support you, or build you up and stand behind you; then you need to move on. Don’t allow others to keep you down because they’re afraid of change or moving forward. That’s not your path and you don’t need that kind of conflict in your life.

You can try to talk to those holding you back. Communication is always a good thing. Some times people are so afraid of change that they’ll say they want “this”, but they seriously worry what will happen and what the consequences will be when it’s achieved.

If they won’t talk with you or won’t agree to work on the issues at hand, it maybe time to simply let go and move on. You can’t learn lessons for others. But you can’t allow them to hold you back from the lessons you have to work through either.

Believe in yourself; even when no one else does.

The dynamic of relationships can be an interesting thing. People can talk a good talk, but their actions tell you what’s really behind their thinking. I’ve met a number of people who say they want to be financially successful and each person has their own definition of what that means. But of those same people, many are secretly afraid to reach their goal because of what it will provide or do to their relationship. Continue reading

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Six of Wands

Six of Wands

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Creativity and magik are all around you today, so pay attention and take advantage of it. Don’t let the mood of others limit your desires or actions. Jealousy is an ugly thing and keeps people from looking within to see the real underlying issues they are holding onto. You can’t learn those lessons for them. And you can’t allow their baggage to weigh you down.

Additional Insight:

Others around you may not be handling the struggles of the day as easily as you seem to be. They don’t know what’s really going on beneath the surface of your skin. So while you’re scared to death, worrying and really want to sit down and cry; no one else can see that. Nor do they need to.

Wallowing in self pity only prolongs the struggle and you already know this. But if you hold back your plans or actions because you’re worried about how they will adversely affect someone around you; you are limiting your own success. Don’t allow their issues to become your anchors that hold you back.

Through perseverance you keep taking one more step closer to creating your dreams and holding up the trophy of success. Giving birth to your new “baby” and nurturing it each and every day with visualization and action.

You may not see all the events your magik is touching right now. But others are taking notice and paying attention. Keep it up. In part because you really do enjoy it, and because it’s aiding in the manifestation of your triumphant success.

Even in the worst of times, you can always find something to smile about or that gives you strength to take that one more step to walking into the light of success. But it’s up to you to open your eyes and see it.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Nine of Cups

Nine of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Don’t expect others to know you care simply by being present. It’s not the words that say I care, it’s the actions. Take some time to let those around you know you care about them and what they’re going through. Or you’re glad they’re in your life to share your experiences. Do something to back it up, because someone in your life is feeling neglected and under appreciated.

Additional Insight:

It’s the little things we do each and every day that show someone we care about them. Not the one or two big things we do once a year in February, or on an anniversary, or birthday.

Fixing her a cup of coffee in the morning and serving it with a kiss on the cheek. Putting a special snack in his brief case with a special note attached that says you’re thinking of him. Picking up their favorite drink at the gas station when you fill up on the way home. It’s the little things that remind others you’re glad they’re in your life.

But in this month of love, don’t forget that special someone isn’t the only person in your life. Those you work with might like to know they’re appreciated too. You can pick up a fruit platter on your way into work for a morning treat. Of course a box of donuts will do too. Or take your team out for lunch and say thanks for the help on this project, or that holiday display.

Sometimes the biggest gift you can give is some undivided attention. Actually listen to someone when they need a friend to talk to. Let them vent and get it out, so they can feel as if someone out there cares enough to “hear”. Put down the cell phone and stop texting other people when you’re with them. It’s not only respectful, it might also make someone feel like you actually want them around.

Think of the little things you wish someone would do for you, then turn around and do it for someone in your life. You might be surprised at how often your kind gestures will come back to you in return.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Death

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

The end of a chapter in your life is closing. Don’t be so afraid of the changes that you make it a long drawn out death. Let it go in peace and be open to the new possibilities. Better things are arriving and you want to be ready and open for them to begin. Don’t fear the future, you’re being guided to where you need to be and where you are needed.

Additional Insight:

Sometimes we get so comfortable in our surroundings that we fall into a chasm of “the evil you know is better than the evil you don’t”. The problem with this thinking is that we create a hole of stagnation. We become resolved to the woes around us because we understand them. The path before us is clouded, we can’t see it clearly because we allow fear to blind our view. We allow our trepidation to create scenarios of probability that do our path a disservice and derail our journey.

Instead, we need to let go of fear all together and allow the Divine course of creation guide us to where we need to be. For the betterment of self and spirit. This is a road you have created and you have put energy into. So don’t spend time fearing the changes that must take place in order to get there. Be open to the little messages that fall around you during the day. See the insights of the synchronicity between events and you will find insight into the happenings that are manifesting before you.

The opportunities and possibilities are helping to take you not only to where you need to be, but where others need you to be for them. People who you don’t even know yet are longing for your wisdom, insight and energy to cross their path and enlighten their world. As others bring lessons to you, you also bring lessons to others. Our worlds are interconnected and touch each other at every turn. The Butterfly effect can manifest from one year to the next, or even one lifetime to another lifetime in the future.

Allow the synchronicity of life to unfold, take note of its messages and help guide your action down the path you need. If we can change the way we view probability we’ll conclude that humans actually excel at detecting the singularity of an event. We discover our true course and welcome it with excitement.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Eight of Cups – Inverted

Eight of Cups - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Look through the veil of fantasy and bring your attention back to reality. Living too high in the clouds can cloud your view and your judgement. Stop avoiding the cups around you and focus on filling them. They’re only empty because you choose to them that way.

Additional Insight:

Stop looking at the cups around you as upside down and drained of their contents. Turn your perspective around and view them as vessels ready to be filled and celebrated. The fanciest of restaurants set the table with cups upside down. They’re only turned over when someone is ready to use them.

You keep focusing on what you don’t have, or what you’ve lost; instead of what you have opportunity for. Don’t focus on what you didn’t need. focus on what you have before you to achieve. You can do this by getting your mind out of the fantasies of what if, or maybe I should have, if only I could have…Stop it!

Allow your cups to be an elegant tea/coffee set waiting for you to arrive at the table and celebrate as they are filled with success and happiness. Ground your energy with a little meditation and see yourself in perfect balance between the endless supply of energy within the core of Mother Earth (see it as a pure yellow crystalline light). And then view your self connected to the endless power of the Divine Universal creation(see this as a pure white crystalline light).

Bring these balancing energies within the center of your being. See them co-exist together as separate but equal energies swirling within your being and ready to be put to work through your actions.  You can do this; because you are One with the Divine force in your life. Simply make it happen and create your dreams here on earth, in this time and space.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Knight of Cups

Knight Of Cups

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

The honored warrior doesn’t start the fight, but they do defend the innocent. You don’t have to lash out at others who aren’t part of the battle. Your anger and emotions need to be controlled and directed toward the just cause. Taking on everything that lies before you will deplete your forces, affect those who have no weapon on the battlefield and could cause more harm than good. No one said you have to be a punching bag. But make sure you know who your enemy is and direct your actions and words accordingly.

Additional Insight:

As much as we’d like to change the world and create peace between all people, that sadly isn’t going to happen over night. Even in our own little part of the world, we will cross paths with people who don’t like us. You can’t please everyone, you can’t make everyone like you and you can’t give up control of your own life to others who would want to control all things around them. It’s simply not realistic.

But you must be cautious of how you release your anger and frustration. Stomping through the house, taking your anger out on others around will not win you friends nor will it keep your allies by your side. Others don’t like being a punching bag either.

You may need to find some other way to release your anger and frustration. Go for a long walk, find a gym and punch a bag of sand, cut firewood or take your aggression out on some other inanimate object. But don’t use your words or actions against those who love you. You may push them away and create additional hurt and anger in your life.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Two of Cups – Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Too little to late doesn’t solve the overall issue. Beneath the gesture of appeasement is a measure of disrespect that got you to this point to begin with. It’s great when someone says they care about you, or they love you; but if the actions aren’t there to back it up is it really what they claim it to be? Be cautious of what you say, if your actions aren’t there to back it up. You may lose more than a few moments of your time or a measure of frustration.

Additional Insight:

If someone has been backing you and supporting you out of love and affection, it’s a physical expression of the respect they have for you. If you don’t return those gifts with actions and only use words to show your gratitude, you may find the respect you once had diminishing.

Your actions to ‘make up for it’ might resolve this event. But over time, the pattern might build into a situation of ‘too little, to late’. Those that support you want to feel supported in return.  Listen and actually hear what’s being said.

In order to conquer the challenges in life, face and fight them together as a united front. That means no one person has all the answers or the right ideas. Work together, listen to each other and share ideas and efforts to resolve the issue. Open communication and truly “listen” and “hear” what’s being shared. United you will stand against all fronts and overcome anything put before you.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priestess

The Priestess

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Be in control of your own life. Raise your conscious view into the spiritual super consciousness and discover what lies before you with clarity and foresight. You have the ability to see what’s coming and understand the why behind the event(s). Doing this provides you the insight to alter what needs to be corrected or empower what needs to be strengthened to create a positive outcome.

Additional Insight:

One of my favorite cards to draw. The Priestess reminds us that our spiritual leadership isn’t something we set aside during the week and only bring out on weekends, at ritual or during ceremonies to celebrate our faith. But rather that she’s always needed to bring about the complete balance and cycle of Mind/Body/Spirit.

It seems this week and last, our messages have been a lot about how we think affecting how we live. The Mind directs the physical action of the body. These are our choices, our words and our actions that are put into physical manifestation.

The Priestess reminds us that our Higher Spiritual Consciousness directs the Mind. The hierarchy is not separate, one above the other. But rather a balanced circle that creates a dependence of one to the other and back again. The Spiritual Consciousness helps direct the Mind to positive thought and choice which in turn directs the physical Body into action, which in turn creates the energy the Spiritual Consciousness can see, understand and work with. This is the circle of all things in nature. It can move us forward, backward or it can leave us spinning our wheels and not moving at all.

We need all three aspects of self in place to walk the path of positive empowerment and action to move forward, complete our mission and learn our lessons. This is the nature of Spiritual Enlightenment. Don’t spin your wheels and get stuck in the mud. Don’t spin your wheels and end up moving backward. Instead listen to your higher Spiritual Consciousness and gain insight and direction to get the wheels moving forward in a positive creative flow.

Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: Eight of Cups – Inverted

Eight of Cups - Inverted

Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft

Fan the blossoms of success and allow healing from the past to continue. Pay attention to the world around you today. Take note that even though things are upside down, your blessings are not falling out of your baskets. Trust in the flow of spirit. Let go and Let the Divine in your life work miracles. By holding on in fear, you are holding back the future you seek. LET GO!

Additional Insight:

The theme this week seems to be appreciating what you already have in your life, but undervalue its blessings. Material things are “nice to have”. Financial security is “good t have”. But the real blessings in life are not these tangible things. The cups represent all these things through their message of emotions, happiness and abundance.

Abundance however is not secluded to financial or material things. The real blessings are friendships, love and the appreciation of others in your life. No one is an island. No one can get through this life without some kind of interaction with another human being.

We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.” The Dalai Lama.

When you under appreciate those relationships you have in your life, you are chipping away at the positive energy they bring. Little by little you break down the solid rock and leave nothing but rubble in its place. Take note of the real important things you have around you. Acknowledge their positive influences in your life. Make sure they know you appreciate them and you’re glad to have them with you in times of challenge. Express your positive appreciation and you’ll build on the solid foundation of the rock and begin to reach the stars.

~~~~~
Something for Couples/Families to think about:
In times of stress and anxiety it’s easy to get angry and look for blame. Many couples blame each other for their hardships or financial woes. This blame game is the first sign that a relationship is in trouble and headed to break up.
Instead of pointing fingers, try joining forces and working together to beat back the world that’s closing in.  Me against you weakens both sides. Us against them strengths the forces. Hardships should bring you closer to those who truly mean something in your life. Not tear you apart.
Instead of yelling at her/him for not doing enough, or yelling at her/him for not be responsible enough; try holding each other, cry on each others shoulder, speak your fears and frustrations about how you feel. Choose your words carefully and take responsibility for your own feelings. Don’t say “You make me feel like” – no one makes you feel anything. You make that choice all on your own. You choose your responses, others don’t choose them for you. Don’t start any sentence with “You” and especially not “You did” or “You didn’t”.
“I feel like” – three of the most powerful words between partners. Right next to “I love you”. When was the last time you said that..and really meant it? When was the last time you looked in the mirror and said it to yourself? And really meant it.
Going through hardships is the most important time to expand your communication, not stunt it.  Take sometime to think about how you communicate and perhaps alter your methods as needed.
Today’s Tarot Meditation Drawing: The Priest – Inverted
The Priest - Inverted
Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft
You can climb the mountain and see nothing but the struggle. Or you can climb the mountain and take time to see the beautiful vistas. Everything happens for a reason, even if we don’t see what the reason is. But your perspective determines how easy or hard the path you tread will be.
Additional Insight:
Often times we find it hard to get over the mountain, or the obstacles in our life, because we’re too busy looking back at where we’ve come from and not where we are. We fear the next step, because we don’t know if the rock we grab hold of will crumble or support our climb.
There is a great deal beneath the mountain. Like a giant iceberg there is much that has gone into holding it up. But the roots that run deep can be sources of happiness that feed our path forward. Or we can allow them to be sources of anger and frustration that hold us back from moving up.
Change your thoughts. Stop and take in the beautiful views. Even in the worst of situations, there’s always something to smile about or appreciate. A delicate flower growing between the barren rocks. A small butterfly that wonders what you’re doing. The sure footedness of the salamander quickly running between the branches on the ground. Even the helping hand you hold out to those around you can bring beauty into your life. What you give out to others in selfless acts will brighten their day, and yours as well.
You can conquer the mountain top and take a little time to appreciate the little things you see. All you need to do…is believe in yourself.
