Be watchful over your domain today and for the next month. Make sure you know where everything is and what you have. Someone is trying to con you out of what you’ve worked hard to achieve. It’s not a day to be paranoid. Just a good day to take stock and make sure you have your world properly secured.

Many people are still struggling and trying to make ends meet. The lack of security can push people to do things they otherwise would never do. For the next few weeks, make sure you lock your car, conceal your packages and keep an eye on your financial accounts.

Even if you don’t take part in the holiday or season festivities. This time of year isn’t only a celebration for Christians, there are many faiths that observe an event during this time of the year. Even Pagans. That makes it a great time for would be robbers and scam artists too.

It may seem like a tedious extra step. But after a few days of monitoring, you’ll fold the extra precautions into your routine and they’ll all seem like old hat. Listen to the advice you hear on the news. Look around your home to ensure your personal domain is locked and secure. Make an effort to pick up packages at the post office or delivery store instead of leaving them on your porch. There’s a lot of little things you can do to protect your holiday season.

But don’t forget to avoid those holiday donation scams too. If you have a little extra to give this season, make sure who you’re giving too is above-board and is doing what they claim. Beyond that you’ll need to keep an eye on your bank account too. Now is the time to get in the habit of monitoring your account on a daily basis for unusual activity. Knowing exactly how much you have can take the stress out of the financial woes, it can keep you on budget, and it can keep you from falling into a trap of credit/debit card theft. Be vigilant.

It may seem like overkill to some, but the knight is reminding us all that not everyone is kind and compassionate during this season of the year. You don’t have to think everyone is out to get you. But a healthy dose of skepticism is worth keeping your own little world safe and secure. It will be worth it in the end and you’ll feel better about your little domain in the long run.
