Mystic Faery Tarot by Linda Ravenscroft
It happens very rarely, but on occasion when I pull a card, two will fall out. And so it was this morning. I don’t believe in coincidence, so I try to share the message for both cards.
Ten of Swords – Inverted
You could be tied up in the details, with someone nit-picking at your efforts to focus and work. Try not to get frustrated or angry at them. They maybe coming to you because they’re worried about the situation going on around the office, school or wherever. And have concern for how it impacts them. Be compassionate, but stay at arms length.
Additional Insight:
Because you’re someone who has a reputation of being “in the know”, others could merely be pumping you for information. Don’t share what you know. Keep your confidences and information to yourself. Knowledge is power and the more you show you can be trusted, the more respect and authority you will have. Remember, your reputation is everything today!
To keep your standing in tact, get out that list of things to do that you made up yesterday. Mark off those items you’ve completed and maybe even circle the really important ones in red. Leave it on your desk where it can be seen in general terms. When someone interrupts your work, simply point to the list and say you have a lot to do today. Perhaps you can get back to them tomorrow.
All this circles around the scheme someone is trying to perpetrate in an effort to blame their mistake on others. A situation that was directed at you last week, but failed. It could even be a power grab and you don’t want to alienate either side. Continue to cover your behind, back up your work and stick to yourself. Don’t become part of the gossip machine and spread the latest developments. When a boss comes to you, and they will, protect yourself, but make it clear you’re staying out of this game. It’s not beneficial to the company or to you. And since you’re not a boss with the authority over those involved, there’s no need for you to be part of the play.
At someone point, one of the bosses could ask you for your opinion, give it, but only behind closed doors. Don’t make it emotional, but remain professional and stick to the facts. If you don’t know if something is true or not, don’t say it. If you do know it’s true, then you might be careful in how you share it with the boss. If it will make them look bad, deny knowing anything about it! Be careful, take a moment to think about each question you’re asked before you answer . You could come out of this with high marks and acquire great respect from those who can promote or reward your professionalism.

Seven of Cups
Use your intuition and “feel” your way through the day. Each interaction with others will be uniquely different. Know your audience and choose your words carefully. Don’t inflame the situations around you, but rather try to focus on your own projects. Align your energies with the Divine in your life and you’ll even get some help “seeing” the answer.
Additional Information:
That perplexing and long standing issue can be resolved with a little creative insight. This is a much better use of your time. Focus on your work and you’ll be able to see the finer details surrounding the task. Ask the Divine force in your life to help you see the answer and you’re likely to have a sudden epiphany. Write it down quickly so you don’t forget the details behind the insight.
As you sit quietly and focus, you’ll be able to fill all your cups with grand success. The solution and information you need to share will flow like water. You’ll keep things afloat, even when the rest of the river is crashing through the rapids. You might consider sharing your revelation with someone who has the experience and knowledge to help you refine the idea, or at the very least, validate your solution. That could save you a lot of time from working on an answer that needs some tweaks.
Again remember to document your work and cover your behind to make sure you’re the one who gets the rightful credit. By the end of the day, you’ll be able to relax and feel good about what you accomplished. You’ll be able to put another feather in your cap. Pretty soon, that cap is likely to be a full Chief’s headdress. And you can be proud knowing you earned it!
