What you don’t like in someone else, is only a reflection of what you don’t like about yourself. Take that message to heart today and look in the mirror. There’s a lesson for you to learn and you can’t move forward until you do. Change what you don’t like, honor what you do. Then accept all aspects of yourself and love who you are.
It’s not easy looking in a mirror. Especially when you don’t like what you see. Or worse, when you have to admit to yourself that you do that very thing you don’t like in someone else. While the view might be more exaggerated in their actions, it’s designed to get your attention so you can either accept that part of yourself, or change.
You don’t have to like all the things you do. But you should accept the ways you act or react to people and situations. What you don’t like, work to change. You’re the only one who can make that kind of impact on your life. Shrug your shoulders and tell yourself “Ok, so I need to work on that and it begins today”.
That’s all it takes to start the journey to making a difference. Then simply do it. Write an affirmation to help you change your thinking. Or empower a stone or crystal with the behavior you want to embody and when you feel yourself doing the opposite, hold that item as a reminder for what you want to be doing. Even “acting the part” as if you’re a character in a play who embodies the characteristic you wish you had, will slowly move you into that frame of mind.
The only real key to making changes in your life is the real desire to do so. “Do or don’t do. There is no try”. If you really want to make a difference with those things you don’t like, then you’ll find a way to make them happen. If you don’t, then accept them for who you are. There’s nothing worse than hating or not liking an aspect of yourself. You will create ailments in your physical body that can manifest overtime into serious disease.
Love you no matter what you’re trying to work on or accept. No one is perfect, not even you. And if you don’t love you, how is anyone else going to see what there is within you to love? Accept or change. That’s really the only choice we all have to make. Make the one that’s right for you.
