Remember what goes around, comes around. Speak from the heart and show your compassion. Others may still be struggling and could use a kind word while they’re going through healing. Listen and give them an outlet for their fear and frustration. Remember when you only needed someone to listen? Give something back and be that compassionate person today.
Sometimes life can become overwhelming and no one knows this better than you. Remember when you wanted someone to listen to you and there wasn’t anyone there? You didn’t want someone to fix things, or tell you what to do, or make suggestions, because you’ve already done that and more. You simply wanted someone to talk to.
There are people around you who are still struggling and going through the depths of despair. And they need someone to listen. Don’t cut them off or run away from their drama because you don’t want to hear the sorrow. That’s probably what people said when you needed to cry.
Give something back from what you learned. The compassion you show to others will go a long way to creating healing and ease the fears and sadness they have bottled up inside. That good deed will come back around and reward your kindness. It doesn’t take any effort to listen or hold someone’s hand with compassion.
