Have compassion and love for yourself. No one is perfect and never will be. You don’t need to be so critical of every little thing you think, say or do. So stop being so hard on yourself and use the compassion you have for others; on you. What you think, you create. Time to start creating the world of your dreams.
All humans are imperfect creatures. We all have some nuance of imperfection in our lives. Whither it be how we think (the mind); how we look (the body); and even how we act (the spirit), we all have something we don’t like or don’t care much for about ourselves. If we were perfect, we wouldn’t be in this incarnated state of existence, learning lessons, paying and redeeming karma, and experiencing a physical life. So you might as well accept, you’re not perfect and neither is anyone else.
You maybe great at accepting others for who and what they are. Overlooking their imperfections and giving them compassion and comfort. Why can’t you do that to the one person in your life that matters most? You! There are many phases of healing, denial, anger, guilt, acceptance, forgiveness, letting go.
When you accept yourself for who you are, you allow yourself to heal from old wounds and hurts. Forgiveness isn’t about forgiving those who may have caused you harm. It’s about forgiving yourself for holding onto harmful thoughts and releasing the anger that goes with them. When you stop looking back at what happened or what could have been, you allow the Divine in your life, to shine through you and you open the world of possibilities into your life. Continue reading
