Don’t let someone else’s unreasonable fears or selfish jealousy, talk you out of doing something you’ve always wanted to do. Make sure you’ve considered the dangers (if there is any) and taken precautions to remain safe. Then go for it. Have the courage to excel. Let yourself look back in 20years and say “I did that”! Instead of whining and talking about the regrets you have for not doing something. You never what fun and exciting things can come from taking a chance and living out your dreams!
Others may have concern for your well-being, but their they may also be putting blocks in your way out of fear. Make sure you take time to understand their reasons for trying to hold you back before you jump into something you might regret.
They may have some valid concerns if your feat of daring is dangerous. So listen and take the necessary precautions. But don’t allow the fear from jealousy hold you back if their only concern is that you may accomplish something they were never able to do.
Courage comes in many forms and you don’t have to face a dangerous situation to express it. Courage to live your life by your dreams and standards can also be a form of self-expression. Do you give up the dream career in order to play it safe, not take chances and be a “stable citizen”?
