Tap into that spiritual energy and allow your abilities to guide your journey through the rocks. Quench the negative self talk with your own perfected skills and you’ll even out the scales of imbalance in your favor.

In honor of Friday the 13th, I counted from the top of my tarot deck and selected the 13th card. I think she’s a fitting messenger for this day of transition and change.

The Priestess reminds us that we always have a say in where we’re going, how we get there and why. Sometimes that means we must take time to sit quietly and look within ourselves to discover the answers that will help us guide our journey.

We don’t have to sit in the raft and ride out the rapids holding on for dear life. Doing that allows fear to guide your direction and leaves angst, anxiety and worry to rule over your path. Trust your instincts and have faith in yourself and your abilities to choose the right course of action. Allow those talents to steer your craft through the treacherous waters and you’ll be able to avoid the hidden dangers.

The Priestess is a leader, even more so than the Queens of the suits, because she is the one who provides wisdom and understanding over events. The Priest and Priestess use their connection to the Divine in their lives to rise above the pettiness of the physical world and look beyond the emotions that cloud our judgement. By doing this they are able to see the events that brought us here, understand the lessons and can see the karma in play. Continue reading →

Focus on the successes you’ve achieved, not on the failures you’ve endured. No one gets it right all the time and you’re not perfect! Learn from the situations that didn’t work out your way. Do the research to understand what happened and discover better solutions. Heal the wounds, show compassion to yourself and apply the knowledge you gained to the next attempt to achieve your dreams. Never give up and always “try” again!

Additional Insight:

Stop being so hard on yourself! You’re holding yourself up to a standard that no one can achieve and then beating yourself up because you didn’t get as far as you intended. No one is going to be perfect and get right every time. Not even you.

Those who have succeeded and reached the pinnacle have endured more failures than successes. But they didn’t dwell on what didn’t work. They learned from them. The recognized where their mistakes were and what they could fix. But they didn’t focus on the issues they couldn’t control and blame themselves for not seeing it coming, or not being aware, or not controlling the issue. They let it go and quickly moved on to the next plan. 

Instead of looking at how short you fell from the goal line, look at how far you came across the entire field. Let the effort to getting this far give you the energy to continue and give you the courage to make another try at reaching your goal. You can’t grab the brass ring if you don’t make a few small adjustments and make the reach again.

Don’t tie yourself up in knots. There’s still quite a bit of healing going on under the surface, mental, emotional and maybe even some physical. The mountain isn’t the gloomy place you’ve imagined either. Stop looking for the hidden shadows and give yourself a chance to see the beauty in the things around you. You’ve reached the emerald pinnacle, take in a deep breath and know the walk down will be easy and fun.

Additional Insight:

You’ve succeeded in the uphill climb and you’ve crested the top of the mountain. Take a moment to look back at how far you’ve come and allow yourself to feel a sense of pride at your accomplishments. But also, please stop worrying about continuing the climb. You’re not only at the top of the mountain, you’ve crossed over the crest and can see the meadows and fields below.

Yes the memories of hardship still sting and may weigh heavily within. But the are only past memories that can’t take hold today, unless you allow them to. So stop focusing on your tired legs and take a seat for an hour or two to rest. Take time to look up and see what’s before you. The greenery, the beauty of nature, the world is laid out before you; ready for you to explore and discover.

Get your nose out of the digital device. It only holds fake satisfaction. The intangible things that you can’t reach in and touch, smell or taste. Give yourself permission to live in the real world today. Take a walk outside, stand by the window and watch the movement of nature as the wind blows by. You can learn a lot from nature, but first you have to take notice and allow yourself to see.

There’s a time to rest and a time to push forward. Being prepared doesn’t meant you must use all the weapons in your arsenal. But if you need to fight back and defend your position, you’re ready to do so. It’s a CYA day, so make sure you are following directions and have the proof to back it up. Protect your domain and don’t be someone else’s scape goat today!

Additional Insight:

You’ve worked hard to build a harvest that can sustain you and provide a step to the next level of your plans. Now is not the time to sit back and allow someone who’s greedy and trying to cut corners, put your domain at risk. If they’ve made mistakes, that’s their problem. Cover your ass today and make sure you have the evidence to show your work has been on plan and legit.

You may need to stand up for yourself and fight for what’s yours. Which may mean being able to confront conflict with confidence in yourself, your work and in your right to push back when necessary. Don’t let fear hold you back. That one additional step you take forward in the face of battle, might be exactly what’s needed to keep your opponent off the battlefield.

No one wants to start the day by preparing for a fight. But unfortunately not everyone thinks that way. Being prepared doesn’t mean you’re the one who will start the war. Don’t go looking for a fight. Don’t set anyone up or lay the foundation for someone else to step into a hole that causes them to fall back on fear and desperation. You don’t have to be stopped at the stone wall, or waste energy breaking through it. Try alternatives, like climbing over it. While others are trying to put barriers in your way, you’ll be moving forward with resolve and calm harmony of your Mind/Body/Spirit connection. Don’t fight, don’t get distracted and you’ll be celebrating your accomplishments by the end of the day.

Additional Insight:

Carpe Diem “Seize the Day”. Don’t allow emotional distractions suck you into problems and events that aren’t yours to own. You can’t learn lessons for others, and you can’t save them from themselves.

Someone maybe trying to keep you from progressing out of fear and their own lack of self-worth. Don’t get baited into a fight and lose track of time. You have your own thing to do and a few things that need to get done. Remain calm, be compassionate and walk away so you can do your own thing.

Take 5 minutes to balance your own energy and connect your Mind/Body/Spirit connections together. Make sure you’re keeping your emotions in check and not being overly sensitive. Be careful you’re not letting things eat away at you. You’re liable to make yourself sick. Don’t drop the balls you have left to wallow in your own self-pity. That’s not going to help and could make things worse. You’ve been fighting hard and of course you’re going to run out of energy in mind, body and spirit. It’s a weekend to sit back and take care of yourself, those that care about you will understand and be supportive! Please stop worrying. It’s going to be ok! Really. It is.

Additional Insight:

The constant worry will eat away at the things you do have faith in. And worse, you’ll start taking the anxiety out on others. Be careful you’re not making a mountain out of a mole hill and making things worse in the processes. Just relax and take a deep breath.

Things are still moving and changing for the better even if you don’t think they are. You can’t see all the work going on behind the scenes. They’re not your tasks to deal with and you have enough on your plate already. So relax over the next three days and allow the world to spin along without you.

Find something that takes your mind off the stress. Sit by the fire and read a book. Especially if you have kids to share a good story with. Take a nap and watch an old movie you’ve never seen before. You might find it fairly entertaining. You can find a lot of things to do for free that will help you get a change of scenery. Go to the local park and take a walk. You might find a great tree limb on the ground to make a fabulous walking stick. You maybe feeling alone and distant from everyone today. Retreating from all the emotions of others because you can’t deal with any more than what’s already in-front of you. Give yourself a break! You’re not responsible for the way others choose to feel. You have the right to chart your own path and walk your own talk.

Additional Insight:

It’s hard enough picking and choosing your own emotions through out the day. You can’t make choices for others as well. You have a path to tread that will take you into the future of your own dreams and aspirations. And that is more than enough for you to deal with and handle at the moment.

Anyone who knows you, understands and can see how hard you’ve been working to move things along. If they’re not supportive, if they’re not standing by your side, then maybe they aren’t someone you need in your life right now. As long as you didn’t make promises that you’re not keeping, you’re not responsible for their assumptions.

Close your office door, don’t answer the phone call, or simply turn your back on the crowd and do what you need to get done. Focus on your feelings and your choices. Forgive yourself for feeling guilty, or responsible for how others feel. They’re not a robot you control. And you’re not accountable for how they choose to react to you and what you need or want to get done. Sometimes we need to be alone and in our own space. It gives us a chance to remember who we are and what we’re about. Be your own best friend and stay away from the toxic people.

Let your ambition feed your energy for growth. A little nurturing will go a long way to getting things done and making headway in your tasks for the day. Plug into your reserves and you’ll take flight and get out of the darkness you may have found yourself in over the past week.

Don’t let the shadows convince you of wrong doing. Don’t let the pressure overwhelm you. And don’t give in when you know you’re walking the path that’s meant for you.

Even in the shadows you can find growth and beauty. Some of the best delicacies only grow in the shade. So stop thinking everything is terrible or bad, when you’re being given an opportunity to see the light within you. It’s a special and unique energy that belongs to you, own it.

Take a little time to balance yourself out of the heaviness of being too grounded. Align yourself with the higher energies of the Divine in your life and you’ll be able to lift some of the weight from your shoulders. Take a little time to think and review the course forward. New information will come your way and you will need time to take it in and contemplate how it impacts your plans for the future. Don’t look at these changes as a bad thing, because they’re not. You’ll recover some of your freedom and get a better grip on your world that has been out of reach. It will mean changes are coming again, for your betterment and not your detriment.

What you learn today will help you adjust your course of action and discover a calmer route forward. You’ll have an opportunity to feel empowered and in better control of your own future. So pay attention and be open to what others have to share. It’s a day of abundance and sharing.

Don’t focus on the change, it’s not as much as you may think. But even if it were, change is good and staying the same is limiting your growth on many fronts. Including the expansion of abundance and security, in heath, relationships and even financial matters.

Take in this new knowledge and contemplate how to implement the what you receive and where best to alter the plan. But what ever you do, don’t ignore it or push the information aside. You need this to bring about success and wisdom.

You’re a busy bee today and that’s a good thing. You have a lot of little things that need to get done, on schedule and on budget. Don’t make excuses and put things off. Some of the things you need to do are more imperative than you might imagine. Others are greatly depending on you to resolve a big problem and you don’t want to let them down.

Additional Insight:

It’s not a day to sit and plan things out. You should have already done that. You must actually get things moving and do some real work on the issues at hand. There are deadlines in play on several levels and if you put things off, you’ll miss the opportunities you’ve been given.

Don’t let the gloom of the clouds hang over your path and drain your mental energy. Push through the steps that need to be taken and you’ll energize yourself! Check off the items on your list and you’ll feel much lighter and unburdened. Along with feeling a whole lot better about your future plans.

Sometimes we get a second and even third chance at winning the game. You have conquered many of the little battles along the way, but you’re still fighting the war. If you continue to drop the ball as each time frame passes by, you’re eventually going to lose everything you’ve struggled so hard to keep. You’re not only risking the material things, but the intangible things that you care the most about.
