It will take a little effort to keep Mind, Body and Spirit together today. Everyone is searching for answers and looking into their tea leaves to find the greater message for the day. But you can’t become overwhelmed, when those answers can’t be found right away. Instead you must look inside and discover the strength to provide compassion and comfort for those who are more lost than you are right now.
Everyone handles tragedy and stress differently. Some try to ignore it and pretend it never happened. Others want to avoid it, because facing the aftermath is too hard to face. Some fall apart, cry and cease to function, while others demand answers; only to discover there is no reason to justify what they’re going through. And some will let anger and animosity loose, lashing out from a place of deep sorrow or intense fear, thinking to themselves “there by the grace of god, go I”.
There is a great sense of grief and bewilderment, hovering over the world today, especially in the United States. The energy however is a global one, that feels like it’s coming to a head. Not all for the same reason, but just as powerful as the next story headline, and the next, and so on it goes. Questions are being asked and cries for enough is enough are dominating the conversations. Perhaps this is a tipping point for the world, the hate spreading around the globe may have reached it’s pinnacle.
For this day however, it is not a day to judge others. Put your banner down and quiet your protest for a little while. Hold out a hand and give comfort to those who will struggle through this time of sorrow. Be the person who influences changes and brings some answers to the problem. Instead of proliferating the rhetoric that keeps the ball of negativity rolling down the hill. Eventually that ball can become too big for anyone to handle and it doesn’t care who it rolls over on the way to the canyon floor.
Everyone here at Spring’s Haven and Springwolf Reflections would like to extend our deepest sorrow and sympathy to those impacted by yesterday’s Florida school shooting. May the GreatSpirits bring blessings, energy and healing to everyone as we mourn the loss of innocence once again. You are in our thoughts and prayers.
