Many of you have asked for a Tarot meditation message for the year. Considering the number of emails I received I decided to comply. Now to be honest, I’ve never pulled a card for a full years message before. So this is a first. I hope it inspires you to stretch your boundaries and push your abilities beyond your comfort zone as it has mine!
2014’s Tarot Meditation Message: Judgement
The overall theme for the year:
Judgement is a card from the Major Arcana of a Tarot Deck. As such it represents the spiritual aspects of the self and how important your spiritual lessons, karma and perspectives will be throughout the year.
Living in balance between the physical and spiritual words that surround you are not only important, but doing so will help you maintain a focus of balanced judgement in what you see, hear and how you react to events in your life.
When you face obstacles in the physical world, maintaining a balanced perspective will help you to rely on your higher conscious insight and help you overcome those challenges. But it will also help you make informed judgements when your guard is down and your facing what may appear to be good choices, but may turn out to be decisions where you refused to see the warning signs.
From this higher spiritual view, you can see the entire game board and not simply those squares that surround you in the here and now. You’ll be able to see the lessons you’re to learn and how to overcome them. As well as, the karma in play and how to repay or redeem that energy for your benefit. You can also see the pitfalls that lay further ahead and how you might walk around them instead of through them.
So in the coming year, take a little time for your spiritual self. Whatever you believe, give it at least an hour a week of your time to contemplate and focus on its value and meaning in your life. Take steps to incorporate your beliefs into your daily life and start Walking Your Talk ©.
The Focus Throughout the Year:
You will be asked to toot your own horn throughout the year. Build confidence in your abilities and talents. And don’t be afraid to market them for your own good. It’s not only the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. It’s also the wheels that bring the cart home to success. Use your own Judgement to know when it’s the right time to speak up and when to praise others. Remember it’s not always all about you and you didn’t get to where you are all alone. There’s always someone there helping you along the way. Use your Balanced Judgement to give credit where credit is due when needs be.
In the summer you’ll need to pay attention to your garden and make sure you’re giving it the nourishment it needs to thrive. That means making sure you keep your knowledge up to date and keep expanding your understanding into new areas. The more you know, the more you can see how things fit together. You don’t need to be an expert in everything. But knowing about the pieces that intersect with your area will help you forge alliances and build well-functioning cooperative partnerships that will serve you near the end of the year and potentially beyond.
By the fall success should be well established in your ventures of personal growth or business. And maybe even both if you have made a good effort in balancing work and home. Make sure you apply time to all aspects of your life to ensure a well-balanced outlook. Even too much of a good thing may not be good for you.
If you work so hard in business that you lose your family, then who will be there to share it with you and celebrate. If you work to hard on the personal relationships you value and don’t give attention to your responsibilities, how will you afford to celebrate. Living in balance is equally important to any successful path. And all are needed to help you thrive in health, happiness and abundance.
By the end of the year you should have much to be thankful for and celebrate. Remain true to your heart, put positive energy into the things you work toward and keep the negative self talk, discouragement in the advice of others, and the few failures you may face on the side. They will not serve you well at anytime of the year.
The self talk doesn’t get you anywhere and only replays the negative programming others have instilled in your head. The lack of encouragement from those around you are simply reflections of their own fears and lack of desire to improve their situations or take accountability for their lives. The few failures that you may hit are there to teach you how to face challenge, endure and push forward in the face of adversity. Each obstacle, no matter how great or small has something to teach you. Don’t get bogged down in the fact that something didn’t work and pay more attention to what you learned from the event and how that will keep you from making the same mistake next time around.
Each obstacle occurs to remind you that you’ve already come so very far in the past years, and you are still here. The past challenges have not won the war and you have much more to accomplish! Stop focusing on what has gone by. It wasn’t meant to be yours and you don’t want to settle for something that isn’t good enough for you anyway!
Rise up in 2014. Stand proud and remember you are a survivor. You have grown stronger. You have learned a great deal. You have faced challenges and devised solutions and answers that others never thought possible. You’ve taken care of your self and what you’re accountable for. You have much to be proud of! Now take the time to stay the course and reap in the rewards of your efforts. Apply what you have learned to your future and you will be blowing your horn loud and proud in December 2014!
The Numerological View
From a Shamanistic Numerology view, what does 2014 bring? We calculate the number of insight for the year like this:
|2014||2 + 0 + 1 + 4||7|
Seven – The number of higher existence, the Divine realm (as in 7th Heaven), the spiritual world or spiritual body. The seven supports the message of the Major Arcana that the year promises to emphasis the spiritual aspects of self and the Divine Universe. We are all interconnected and part of the entire Divine Consciousness.
- This number is associated with Saturn.
- This number is associated with the Willow Tree.
- This number is associated with the Beaver.
- It represents the Divine within (the higher consciousness), The Divine Universe as a whole (all consciousness connected). It’s more of a Divine place, rather than entity. Such as Avalon, Heaven, Valhalla etc.
- Positive Direction: 7 places an emphasis on the esoteric, scholarly aspects of magik. It represents wisdom and knowledge, a higher view or long term vision of things. The understanding of being accountable for your choices and actions, but not through making critical judgements.
- Negative Direction: 7 can place too much importance on knowledge without exercising its wisdom. Brutally honest at times when there needs to be a soft touch of compassion. Though 7 doesn’t often make negative judgements, the need to be needed and helpful can get one into trouble.
I hope you find your way in 2014 through your own higher calling and face the year with excitement and anticipation. In my personal perspective I’m looking at 2013 as the year of transition, which is the energy associated with “13”. Humankind is not good at change, it brings a time of unknown outcomes and that can be frightening to many people.
How you view the future will determine how 2014 will play out for you. If you hold onto the fear that last years change has forced upon you, the coming year will attract hardship and struggle. You will fail to use your good judgement in matters of the heart, business and daily life. But if you view the future with the understanding that the change was necessary and you are ready to move forward into the coming year, you will rise up and achieve more than you may expect on this first day of the year. Come back on December 31st, and re-read this message. Then determine with your own judgement, how the year has progressed for you.
Happy New Year. May it bring you all the blessings of good health, happiness and abundance that you deserve!
